Chelsea, the Heart of Malaika
Among all the children of the Malaika-foundation, Chelsea was the sweetest and kindest.
Every Sunday, she welcomed us with her radiant smile and warm hugs that could melt away any fatigue.
She had a special gift — the ability to make all of us feel part of something greater, just by being herself.
Chelsea was, and always will be, the symbol of Malaika.
The news of her passing hit us like a wave. A deep, unbearable pain.
Chelsea died in a tragically simple accident — something that could and should have been prevented.
It’s hard to find the words when your heart is shattered in this way.
To us, you will always be the face of our mission, the beating heart behind every act of love.
You will always be the smile, the voice, and the hope for all the children in this world who need to be loved.
Thank you for showing us the way, for teaching us what it truly means to care, with dedication and pure love.
We promise to do everything in our power to make sure something like this never happens again.
We will feel you in our arms every time we close our eyes.
Goodbye, little Chelsea.
Fly as high as you can.
We will always love you.
