In a small village on the shores of Lake Turkana, the sun is not just light, it’s a daily battle.
Here in the desert lands of Kenya, the sun is blinding, relentless, and often harmful. Prolonged exposure causes many to suffer from serious eye conditions: actinic keratitis, chronic conjunctivitis, photophobia, and in severe cases, permanent corneal damage.
But this time, we brought a small but powerful gift: over 300 pairs of sunglasses made it here, thanks to your donations.
We handed them out and took time to explain why protecting the eyes, especially for the younger ones, is so important.
This is more than a pair of sunglasses. It’s prevention, dignity, and hope.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
